Admissions Manager (full-time position)

Organization

China Programs is an independent educational organization with headquarters in Shanghai that develops and operates a wide range of China-related educational programs.  These programs create thoughtful and in-depth personal and group learning experiences through a combination of investigative learning and discussions with leading experts.  Learning Mandarin, from introductory through advanced levels, is fostered through context-driven teaching methods both for programs in China and through innovative online tools.  China Programs leadership has been designing and conducting programs in China for high school students from around the world since 2002 and is deeply committed to expanding people’s understanding of China and the learning of Mandarin through personal experience and online technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage student recruitment initiatives in our Admissions Office
  • Travel to the US and Europe to introduce our programs to schools, educators, and students
  • Support and manage our network of Program Representatives in different countries
  • Serve as a key member of our program development and implementation team
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree from a good university in the US, UK, Australia, or Europe
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self motivated
  • Warm and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in effectively running a small, dynamic team to meet specific operational targets
  • Strong interest in China.  Prior experience with cultural exchange program(s)
  • Native or near native fluency in English.  Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus
